But, I will assure you now that there ARE cures out there and they definitely work.
My Acne Problem
The issue when it comes to dealing with acne is that when one cure works for one person, it doesn’t work for the other. I myself had to go through countless over-the-counter remedies and harsh prescription drugs only to see the awkward and embarrassing side effects on top of my acne. I struggled with acne for fours years during my late teens and everything I tried had no effect and at best I would be left with horrible itchy and dry skin. As my acne started developing years ago I tried a few natural methods that I thought would work great, as I generally believe in natural remedies over harsh chemicals produced in labs. Read more…

Improving Lung Cancer’s Prognosis
When some types of tissue become cancerous, there are the options of surgical removal or aggressive treatment to the affected area. Unfortunately, these choices are not always available to cancer patients whose illness has originated in the lungs. Because they are both delicate and vital to sustaining life, diseases that affect these organs often have grim prognoses.
If you or someone you care about has been diagnosed with cancerous tumors in the lung, you do not need to give up hope. While the statistics may not be encouraging, some people with this disease manage to live for years or even see their illness go into remission. While there is no cure for this disease, there are steps you can take that may improve your prognosis (long-term expectancies).

What Leads To Drug Addiction?
Why do some people choose to use drugs when they’re so bad for you? The causes of drug addiction are as varied as the amount of drugs that are available for use – both legally and illegally. There is no one cause for drug addiction just like there is no consistent profile of a drug user.
People who have a history of drug use or abuse in their families are at risk for drug addiction problems. It has been proven that children of alcoholics will exhibit addictive tendencies. Children of alcoholics or drug users generally have low self-esteem and see their parents escaping from problems using drugs. When they see this, their minds say that this is the way to act and they themselves become users.
There is also a biological basis for causing drug addiction. Drugs alter the brain’s chemicals and the way the brain functions. Drug addiction creates dependence in the brain by changing the brain’s reward functions – the part that reinforces certain behaviors.

Natural Tips to Fight Prostate Cancer
If you have just been diagnosed with prostate cancer, your doctor may have given you a choice of treatment options. But what to choose and how?
Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer among men, with over 200,000 cases diagnosed each year in the United States. It occurs when cells in the prostate, a gland located under the bladder that is necessary for proper sexual function in men, becomes cancerous due to a flux in testosterone. Most cases don’t occur until after 50 years of age, but in recent years the percentage of men in their 30s and 40s diagnosed with this disease and other prostate problems has been steadily rising.
Conventional treatments include surgery to remove the prostate gland or radiotherapy. These are aggressive options and complications including impotence and urinary incontinence can result from surgery, and the risk of secondary cancers is a concern since science already knows radiation exposure causes cancer.
The PSA blood test is another area of confusion. A report published in the June 2009 issue of “A Cancer Journal for Clinicians” shows routine PSA blood tests often result in over diagnosis of prostate cancer, which then results in unnecessary treatments. The PSA test can be deceptive and elevated PSA levels can also be due to benign prostate enlargement, inflammation, infection, age and race.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome – Causes, Symptoms and Treatment Methods
Alcohol is capable of causing birth defects. Causing a child to suffer from fetal alcohol syndrome is really nothing short of child abuse and it lasts for life.
Fetal Alcohol syndrom is an invisible avalanche crashing down and overwhelming public resources. Patients with fetal alcohol syndrome typically have multiple handicaps and require special medical, educational, familial and community assistance. A baby born with FAS may be seriously handicapped and require a lifetime of special care. In the United States, about 1,200 children are born each year with fetal alcohol syndrome. It is the leading cause of mental retardation in this country. When a woman drinks alcohol during pregnancy, she risks giving birth to a child who will pay the price- in mental and physical deficiencies- for his or her entire life. It is a pattern of mental and physical defects which develops in some unborn babies when the mother drinks too much alcohol during pregnancy. People with FAS might have problems with learning, memory, attention span, communication, vision, hearing, or a combination of these. These problems often lead to difficulties in school and problems getting along with others.

The Question Of Teens And Drug Abuse Requires Our Adamant Attention
Drug use among teenagers has reached tragic levels. It Doesn’t matter how vigilant you are, your teenagers will definitely be introduced to drugs at school, the very place you think should be a safe environment. Mrs. Reagan’s ‘Just say no to drugs’ campaign was a complete failure. The fact is that teens view adults as old fuddy-duddies that have never seen the outside of a paper bag. Adults, try as they may, face an uphill battle in safe guarding their young ones from the ravaging effects of drugs.
The battle is made tougher by the fact that most of us have prescription medications in our medicine cabinets. When confronting the issue of teenagers and drugs, you have to give them a rational argument that differentiates between necessary prescriptions and illegal drugs. This isn’t easy. Some well known prescription medicines are being peddaled in schools as a way to get high. Kids don’t know that these prescriptions are issued in duplicate or triplicate, as a way to control the use of certain narcotics. Not having experienced a legitimate need for these drugs themselves, they could well come to the conclusion that their parents are enjoying some high that they are for some reason being forbidden.
