Smoking marijuana, or smoking weed or pot as some would say, is against the law in most states. Smoking a joint or ingesting it into the body, in any form, can and does have many serious side effects. There are many names for Marijuana. It is often called Cannabis, Ganja, Grass, Hash, Herb, Pot, and Weed. No matter what it is called, the side effects are the same, and they can be very dangerous to your health. Some of the serious side effects from the use and abuse of Marijuana are Lung cancer, anxiety, depression, suicidal tendencies, and schizophrenia, just to name a few. How to Quit – Marijuana Addiction

So you want to know how to quit a marijuana addiction? Well the first thing you should consider is, are there any reasons as to why you are doing marijuana, weed, pot, cannabis in the first place? Do you have a health problem that is either physical or mental? If this is so, then you need to go to the doctor in order to get this problem treated.

If you would like to have success in quitting that habit, then you need to find a way to distract yourself with other activities that you enjoy. This could include exercise, hobbies, movies, books, video games, etc. You should do something that involves exercise as those feel good endorphins need to be released.

Do your friends have this habit as well? If so, then you may need to avoid them at least while you are trying to quit. You may have to develop new friendships ones that do not involve getting high, very few people quit without changing the circles that they mix in.
