This condition may also be experienced by people taking antipsychotic drugs and is not confined to sleeping. Delayed sleep phase syndrome is a chronic disorder of sleep timing, resulting to falling asleep very late and having difficulty waking up in the morning. Advanced sleep phase syndrome, on the other hand, occurs when a person feels very sleep early in the evening and wakes up very early at night.
